DOR in a LTC facility.

What do you love about OT?

I love how much OT covers and how much this profession has opened my eyes to our ability to improve someone's quality of life. I love the people I've met and the opportunity to combine my analytical skills with my love for helping others into a meaningful career.

How did you choose this profession?

I originally was looking into another discipline when my husband asked me if I wanted to chat with his coworker - an OTR/L. I thought that was a great idea! After a two hour phone call and five pages of notes, I applied to OTA school and never looked back.

Why did you choose to become an OTAC board member?

OTAC has introduced me to so many great practitioners, provided me with mentors, and even helped me when I was in school. OTAC has grown so much since I was a student, and when my schedule finally allowed, I jumped at the chance to give back.

What's your favorite thing to do in Colorado?

We recently moved to a new house more towards the foothills, so I've been filling my free time with dog walks and exploring the area. My husband and I love trying new restaurants and enjoying a mountain drive. I get over to the western slope whenever I can to spend some time away from the city.
