Mission Statement 2024

The Occupational Therapy Association of Colorado supports and advocates for the profession of occupational therapy in the state of Colorado by providing:

  • Advocacy for public policy that sustains and advances the occupational therapy profession through legislative and political involvement. 
  • Professional development and continuing education opportunities for occupational therapy practitioners and students.
  • Leadership and responsiveness to meet occupational therapy community and stakeholders needs.
  • Collaboration with the healthcare community, educational institutions, and the general public.
  • Representation as a public presence and voice for the advancement and promotion of occupational therapy. 
  • Support through outreach, education, information sharing, advocacy, networking and volunteer activities.
